How To Improve iPhone 4S Battery Life;Steps To Improve iOS5 Battery Life

A majority of iPhone 4S who had just upgraded their devices to iOS5 have been having crippling battery life issues,also the issue seems to be more menacing on the iPhone & iPad than the iPod Touch devices.So incase you are having a tough time knowing how to improve your iOS5 device battery life,you need not look any further.Follow the instructions and you are good to go:
  1. Disable Bluetooth unless you are using it.Go to Settings-->General-->Bluetooth-->Off.
  2. Turn off Specific or unnecessary notifications.Go to Settings-->Notifications-->"Off" for any unnecessary apps.
  3. Disable Ping.Go to Settings-->General-->Restrictions-->Enable Restrictions-->Ping-->Off.
  4. Disable iCloud unless needed.Go to Settings-->General-->iCloud-->Off for any unnecessary apps..
  5. Disable Location Services Like GPS SFPark etc.Go to Settings-->Location Services-->Off for any unnecessary apps.
  6. Disable Time Zone adjustment Settings. Go to Settings-->Location Services-->System Services-->Set the Time Zone to Off.
  7. Disable Diagnostic & Usage Reports.Go to Settings-->General-->About-->Diagnostic & Usage-->Dont Send.
  8. Reset your Network settings.Go to Settings-->Reset-->Reset Network.
    1. WARNING:THIS WOULD REMOVE ALL YOUR NETWORK SETTINGS,INCLUDING YOUR PASSWORD,APN,VPN SETTINGS .
  9. This might sound weird & funny but,it appears that removing & adding email accounts seems to improve battery life.
    1. Delete your email acccounts.Go to Settings-->Mail, Contacts, Calendars-->Account Name-->Delete(Account).
    2. Reset Network Settings.Go to Settings-->Reset-->Reset Network.
    3. Restart the device.
    4. Add your email settings once again.Go to Settings-->Mail, Contacts, Calendars-->Account Name-->Add(Account).
Although this has helped a lot of users to minimize the battery drain,fingers are being pointed at the iCloud & GPS based apps to be the real culprit behind the power glitch.So after doing all these changes,Hows your device?
