Microsoft Decides To pull the Plug On Zune:End Of An Era

Five years since its inception,Windows Giant Microsoft has finally decided to pull the plug on Zune.The Zune which was Microsoft's very own media player created to go head-on against Apple's Ipod never actually got the start it anticipated & Microsoft has decided that its time to let go.Microsoft claiming in 2006 that it will be in the media player business for a long run basis,Microsoft invested Hundreds of Millions of dollars to go against Apple's Ipod.A year later Apple announced the arrival of Iphone & coincidentally 5 years since then Microsoft has decided to shutdown the medid player industry when Apple released it Fifth Generation Phone Iphone 4S.
                                                                          Zune,which was based on a hard disk storage model along with features of a social device which enabled music sharing to a certain degree,its Wi-fi features were severely crippled & received severe criticisms on the design of the player not to mention the brown colored theme.By the time Microsoft was able to catch up with Apples rudimentary Ipod,Apple had moved over to Iphone & Ipod Touch which started getting IOs and with App store features which explained a clear point to Apple's rival dangerous it can be go to head on against it.Be one one step ahead of the enemy rather than think like the enemy.By that time Microsoft has only wasted Millions of dollars,but also valuable resources and now with Microsoft deciding to Phase out Zune,lets hope that Microsoft doesn't make the same mistake in tackling Iphone using Windows mobile.
