MIT launches FunF Sensor App For Andrioid SmartPhones

We all read about Apple's Accelerometer, during Apple's event, but did you know that the same technology was being used by the scientists @ Massachusetts Institute Of Technology all along. They have been using this & other data input apps which would provide new information's regarding how we live & move. Now the MIT Media labs is making this app available for download. This tracking technology, code named Funf is available for download from here.
In addition to its tracking features,Funf can also catalog and export movement data & geographical data can be exported to a PC or Laptop, there by allowing users to document their individual charts & graphs also create points to see variations in their day to day life..Similar apps have also been used for preventive medicine & for the first time this tool has been released in the public domain. They are excited as to how the public is going to implement their project in their day to day lives.
The concept of sensors in SmartPhones cannot be termed as sophisticated as per scientific standards, but Funf's ability to differentiate the difference between a brisk walk & jogging makes it a unique. The sensor can not only differentiate between movments but also track users movement all day If interested then head over here & try the App yourself.
