Qualcomm Unveils The Snapdragon S4(MSM8960) Super Processor:Features Improved Battery Life & Multi-mode World Capability Support

Qualcomm has unveiled its latest state of the art gaming Arsenal,the Snapdragon S4 super processor and there is a reason why I am pumped out about it.Moving from the 45nm to 28nm manufacturing process along with the company's Krait CPU & Adreno 225 GPU,it will be compactly packed featuring smaller components,lower power consumption and improved thermal performance.
                                              As for Krait's CPU,it will feature a new pipeline architecture which promises a performance boost of atleast 60% on par with the Scorpion version with clock speeds anywhere between 1.5GHz -2.5GHz which will be the fastest in the mobile Industry along with support for dual-channel or bi-channel memory and asynchronous multiprocessing features.
                                            As for Adreno 225 GPU,the latest installment chip boasts of a 50% greater performance over the contemporary Adreno 220 GPU,which would also provide DirectX 9.3 for Windows 8 not to mention the support for OpenGL ES 1.1 & 2.0.In addition to this the Snapdragon S4 code named S4 MSM8960, will also feature multi-mode capabilities for a whole new range of frequencies from 700 to 2600MHz.This is quite remarkable as this means that it will be able to handle Cat .3 LTE which supports speeds upto 100Mbps ,Cat .24 HSPA+ upto 42 Mbps along with support for CDMA's EV-DO Rev .B,TD-SCDMA,1x Advanced as well as GSM/EDGE/GPRS.It will also support NFC,FM radio,Bluetooth 4.0,Wifi along with support for GPS & GLONASS.With features like these who would need overclocking now!Cant wait to see what 2012 unfolds for Us.
