Samsung has announced the new Samsung Galaxy Wi-fi which is an Android based PMP cousin of the Galaxy series & tablets.There will be 2 versions of the phone,one with a 5 inch screen & the other sports a 3.6 inches.
Under the hood is a 1GHz processor running on Android V2.3 Codenamed GingerBread along with Android market access & wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n support.They come with more support features than the conventional Android phones.According to Samsung,the phone is capable of 720p recording @ a constant frame rate of 30FPS along with Bluetooth 3.0 support.There is an onboard accelerometer & a new feature which would enable your phone to be used as a remote for your SmartTV device.Unfortunately both the phone have LCD display rather than AMOLED with a pretty mediocre resolution of 800 * 480.
The 5 Inches ports a 3.2 MegaPixel Camera where as the smaller 3.6 inch version comes with a 2 MegaPixel.Both the devices come with a standard VGA camera for 3G purposes.The elder brother has a 2500mAh under its hood where as the younder one comes with a 1500mAh.The 5 Inch phone comes with a price tags of £199 and £219 for the 8GB & 16GB variation while the 3.65 will come for £149 and £169.There is no news regarding its subsequent U.S launch.
