7)Motorola Droid:
Droid was probably the first  success Android based mobile phone had in U.S and was launched by Verizon to go up against Apple's beast the Iphone(based on OsX).At a time when Android versions are out-selling Apple's Iphone 2:1,Droid was praised for its sleeky & glossy appearance although it never went to become a mile-stone in the mobile market.Still,it was probably the Droid advertisement campaign which sparked the arrival of Android Phone and created an uproar leading to more & more users craving for the Android based Phones.
