Apple's pre-order iPhone 4S sales has crossed the one million mark within 24 hours from the order window overtaking the earlier record of 600,000 set by iPhone 4.With At & T claiming that it had sold out all of its pre-sale Apple merchandise within 12 hours of its launch which is approx 200k,most of the carriers have apparently run out of Apple merchandise there by causing the shipments to be delayed by a good 1 or 2 weeks with the exception of Sprint which appears to be ready to deliver them right on schedule. This has been an outstanding achievement by Apple as the sale is not only the biggest ever iPhone sale, but also the biggest in Apple's History.
“We are blown away with the incredible customer response to iPhone 4S,” Apple senior VP of worldwide product marketing Philip Schiller said in a statement this morning. “The first day pre-orders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched and we are thrilled that customers love iPhone 4S as much as we do.”
For the unfortunate people who couldn't place their order, head over to the Apple store to get the merchandise yourself but you may have to stand in a very long queue. The store starts @ 8.A.M on October 14th so be ready early.Trust me the queue will be enormous.
