Motorola Xoom 4G Before & After OTA update

After a wait of 7 months, the XOOM users finally received information regarding the upgrades needed to enable 4G LTE in XOOM.But unfortunately not all of them have received their transformed 4G device yet from Motorola & the wait is literally killing them. For the lucky ones who got it back, you must have noticed some new features in your 4G device now.If you didn't receive the over the air(OTA) update as of now,you can expect to receive it once your power up the device.Verizon has officially announced this update & also enclosed the details regarding the changes & bug fixes. Also the Android Market has been made available in the HoneyComb Os & you can actually verify whether it has been implemented or not.
Apart from the inclusion of a 4G radio device,XOOM has been updated to the Android 3.2.1 Codenamed HoneyComb with a build of HLK75D,the latest. There are some other new features like Auto market updates, usual bug fixes along with the connectivity issues. Some of the highlights of the updates are:
  • Android Market has been updated for HoneyComb.
  • Android Book Apps updated.
  • Android Market terms & conditions are now more readable & the font has been improved.
  • When toggling between Airplane Mode, you will no longer receive the following error message: “Wrong Operator: SIM card is from an unknown source.”
  • After performing an (OTA) update, the Android Market shortcut on the homescreen works correctly.
  • Auto Update of the Android Market.
Web Browsing Updates:
  • Improved security feature to ensure protection against rogue/fake certificates.
  • Enhancements to 3G/4G data connectivity to prevent data stalls & more.
Now that they have resolved most of the issues & upgraded the connectivity to 4G,it would be interesting to know how the user experience has been. Can anyone share your experience?
