Windows 8 Guide: How To Use Snap Feature In Windows 8

Snap in Windows 8 refer to the new Metro GUI,where you can display two program windows in the desktop instead of one.The snap feature is available in systems with a resolution set to atleast 1336 * 768 or higher. This feature is not available for lower resolutions which means basically you can't implement Snap on it.However by making a few registry tweaks you might be able to overcome this resolution limitation.Take a look @ the steps:

1)Open the Run prompt(press windows key +R simultaneously).

2)Now navigate to the following setting:
HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\AppPositioner\

3)Now in the right hand panel, right click -->Select New Dword(32 Bit).

4)Now the new key must be entered as "AlwaysEnableLSSnapping" & enter "1" in the value field.

5)Press Ok & re-start your PC.Now you will be able to dock 2 different applications, side by side in Windows 8.
