CyanogenMod-7.1 Released Finally :Offers Support For More DevicesWith Android 2.3.7

CyanogenMod 7.1 has finally been released after a long Hiatus,which was planned to release @ the Big Android BBQ event but certain build system issues postponed its launch subsequently.The change log(Click here to view) comes with a lot of bug fixes & added support for the new devices apart from the ones previously enlisted.The new ones include:

  • Motorola Defy

  • Samsung Fascinate
  • Samsung Mesmerize
  • Samsung Showcase
  • Samsung Vibrant
  • Samsung Galaxy S
  • Samsung Galaxy S2 (multiple carriers)
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia X8
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

So that means that CyanognMod will be supported on 68 Android devices with this new update.With still many devices like  HTC Pyramid (Sensation), Doubleshot (myTouch 4G Slide), HTC Shooter (EVO 3D), HP TouchPad and the LG Optimus 3D all in Beta stages the support will be launched in a few weeks.
