T-Mobile Galaxy S II kernel source Code/Kernel Available

T-Mobile
The Rom enthusiasts have something to cheer about now that Samsung has released the Source/Kernel code for SGH-T98,more coomonly known as the  coveted Galaxy S II T-variant.The code also includes codes for the GPL softwares. The source codes is not for the mediocre or average hackers but for the dev's mainly due to the Phone's limitless potential & for them its like they have struck gold.
The Kernel code will not allow them to get rooted, but a lot of other cool features previously locked within will be unleashed not to mention the plethora's of goodies which are expected to arrive now that the codes are available. Its good to see Samsung just like Galaxy Pro has revealed the Kernel & we hope to see more codes to be released by the Commercial Giant in the months to come. But right now,Samsung & Google event appears to be the top priority as it marks a new phase in the Android with the launch of the Ice Cream Sandwich along with Samsung's Galaxy Nexus in Hong Kong on October 19th.Stay tuned!

No Ice Cream Sandwich For White Samsung Galaxy S II

As of now there are no devices which has been officially confirmed to be running or to run of Google's latest Android V4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. A YouTube video was spotted which claimed to be that of Google's Ice Cream Sandwich last week which featured new interfaces & apps which we all expect to be shipped with Ice Cream Sandwich which would be unveiled in the Google/Samsung Event on October 19th in Hong Kong.
No Ice Cream Sandwich For White Samsung Galaxy S II
Last month we had a few fake Ice Cream Sandwich launchers or home screens emerge & as of now only 2 apps-Google Music & Android market are the officially confirmed Apps to feature in the Ice Cream Sandwich & those versions are already leaked and available for download. It might be prudent to note here that the absence of the settings menu is one of the fundamental indicators of the fact that this might be just another fake which is also supported by the complete lack of on-screen navigation buttons.
This doesn't necessarily mean that Ice Cream Sandwich wont find its way into the existing SmartPhones. As soon as Google releases the Ice Cream Sandwich code as an open source we are destined to see some modified ICS to appear for the Nexus & Galaxy S II SmartPhones. With the Google & Samsung Event to unveil Galaxy nexus along with Ice Cream Sandwich,we can expect Google to make some startling revelations which would ultimately put a stop the rumors surrounding ICS.

Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Amaze 4G Available on T-Mobile

Missed the opportunity to get a Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Amaze 4G first time around? Not to worry,T-Mobile corporate stores have received the shipments and you can head over there and buy the mobile directly. The Samsung Galaxy S II,the fastest Android SmartPhone ever & HTC Amaze 4G are both HSPA+ techno devices capable of tremendous data speeds which provide good value for your money.
The choice between the two can be made depending upon whether you like better camera(HTC Amaze) or Raw processing power(Galaxy S II).Along with speeds of 42+ Mbps these are the best SmartPhones you can ever lay your hands on.Head below for information:

Samsung crashes iPhone 4S Party :Lures Apple's Customers With Galaxy S II for $2

This just gets better & better. When Apple stubbornly rejected the olive leaf extended by Samsung to gain entry into the Australian market for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1,Apple wouldn't have foreseen what Samsung intended to do.According to the Sydney Morning Herald,Samsung had set-up a pop store just a few feet away from Apple's Iphone 4S store and was reportedly selling Samsung Galaxy S II @ $2 with contract ofcourse.Eye witnesses claim that Samsung's queue was way bigger than Apple which means that Apple's sale had taken a hot where as Samsung managed to do some pretty good profit.Take about strategy. This has now become a pretty good win-win situation for both the companies with Samsung having the upper hand as of now.I do hope this new tactic doesn't come hard on Samsung when it unveils it Galaxy Nexus Prime.

Galaxy S II vs iPhone 4S Browser & Camera Benchmark Test:Iphone 4S Fastest Yet

Worlds best SmartPhones went head to head with the browser benchmark test using a popular BrowserMark benchmark tool where Apple's iPhone 4 managed to score 51,701 which was running of a Beta Version of iOS 5 where as Samsung's Galaxy S II with its dual core 1.5GHz Exynos processor aggregated 55,144 which is a record for any SmartPhone. Now comes Iphone 4S,packed with a dual core A-5 Processor with iOS5 iPhone 4S attained a gigantic score of 89,567.Beat That Android.Even of you are an Android fanatic, you gotta admit thats a pretty solid score.
From the Initial results its clear that iPhone 4S performs quite well on par with the 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Galaxy S II processor which came next.Even though Apple might have won the battle, but the war aint over yet.Android market is in an evolutionary phase with talks of Quad core processors underway,it will be different story then. What amazes me is that the A-5 Chip barely managed to beat the Qualcomm by a whisker, which implies that Quad core can easily take on A-5 chip, not to mention that GingerBread almost a year old & iOS 5 almost fresh off the boat, its better to test it again after the Ice Cream Sandwich launch which will be more of a balanced rather than what has been a one sided test.Lets see how Samsung Galaxy Nexus manages to hold against it.
The Sunspider benchmarking was also performed in which Apple's iPhone 4S once again out-shined everyother SmartPhone followed by iPhone 4 & S II in 2nd & 3rd position respectively. Its not surprise that Safari running on iOS5 has the best javascript engine as indicated below:
The iPhone 4S GPU tests were also pretty impressive which is as expected 7 to 8 times faster than iPhone 4.
A single shot of a dollar bill under dull light conditions expressed iPhone 4S camera illumiation capabilities something which you can see below:
Bottomline: iPhone 4S might be the fastest SmartPhone, but watch out for the Quad Core giants on the way now that Qualcomm has already started works on 2GHz super processors & more.

Samsung Galaxy S II To Receive Updates With Improvements & Firmware Upgrade:Bigger Menu & Firmware Over the Air Widget

Samsung's Galaxy S II,the worlds fastest SmartPhone yet is all set to receive 2 important updates,to alter the features of the phone. The GingerBread Android Os will also receives its updates which will not only make changes in the scrollbar mechanism to prevent the patent violations, but it will also make the phone's response faster & better with the latest firmware update. The update will increase the phone's on-screen application icons by atmost 30%.The implied meaning is that the home-screen will now feature just 3 icons at the bottom and the application menu grid will be a 3* 3 matrix.
It seems that the update is the consequence of the ongoing patent battle of Samsung with Apple for replicating the trade dress of Apple's iPhone. After this update,it will be in no way feature any similarity to Apple's iPhone there by will not be pulled into the Patent violation.
A new widget is expected to make appearance, the firmware over the air widget, which would inform you regarding the Os properties such as the current OS,availability of any updates etc. This new widget will definitely make the OS firmware update process a lot easier & Hassle free. The update is expected to hit the screen pretty soon & I am hoping that the Icon size change is not mandatory as it would result in unwanted scrolling & wastage of screen space.

T-Mobile vs AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II BenchMark Test:Winner T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II Fastest SmartPhone Ever

With T-Mobile getting its hand on the new Samsung Galaxy,it was time for the ultimate test, the Benchmarking.Aside from featuring a QualComm 1.5Ghz Dual CoreSnapdragon, instead of Samsung's very own 1.2Ghz Dual core Exynos, the architecture of Samsung Galaxy S II for T-Mobile & AT & T are pretty similar. When the beachmarking results were compared there emerged a winner:T-mobile variation:
As it is clear from the benchmark Quadrant that Samsung Galaxy S II can be officially confirmed as the Fastest SmartPhone ever.No other phone has come close to this beast apart from the HTC Amaze 4G.Although,the T-mobile version has a faster processor, the performance boost was not that great,it was faster but my just a mere margin. The Amaze 4G which also has a similar processor, when head to head with Samsung Galaxy S II  falls behind by a big margin of almost 1000 points.Although HTC comes with Android OS along with its own HTC sense,we can't blame them to drag its performance down although we can clearly appreciate the Samsung guys for tweaking this SmartPhone to such an extent that it is currently unparalleled.

T-Mobile Releases Samsung Galaxy S II BenchMark Results:Impressive

If you are concerned how Galaxy S II will perform on par with other SmarPhones in the market. Now with T-Mobile releasing the Screen's it seems that there might be no phone as of now to compete against this super SmartPhone. They say a picture is worth thousand words.T-mobile which had to go for a QualComm dragon rather than the Exynos due to HSPA+42 network constraints,a lot of people were subjective to the new modified phone.Take a look @ the screen and see where the phone stands on par with its contemporaries:
With this beauty I don't think I may have to worry about getting a new SmartPhone for almost a year.Nice job Sammy!
